SOUND CHECK

The Center for Urban Culture Regenerator is implementing the SOUND CHECK project in 2025 with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia. The project was approved through the Public Call for Proposals for Cultural Needs in the Republic of Croatia for 2025 in the field of musical and music-stage arts, subprogram activity: Rock Music – Festivals and Club Programs.

Among the project’s activities is a program that provides free use of fully equipped rehearsal rooms for unestablished young musicians. In this way, the project offers additional support for the personal development and creative potential of individuals and/or informal groups engaged in music.
As part of the project’s implementation, a concert by J.R. August was also held.

AJMO 2024/2025 and 2025/2026

The Center for Urban Culture Regenerator implemented the AJMO! project from October 1, 2024, to March 1, 2025. The project was approved through a call organized by the Croatian Music Export Office with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia.
During the project’s implementation, all objectives of the call were fully achieved — namely, ensuring the development of concert activities throughout the entire Republic of Croatia, outside major urban centers. The project focused on musical genres that cannot survive as professional commercial activities in these areas, treating the development of such genres as a cultural field of public significance. It also represented a step toward creating an inclusive and participatory model of support for concert activities across Croatia.
Through the project, five concerts were held featuring ten performers: Djeca! and Porto Morto, IDEM and Mašinko, Kandžija and Šarena pojava, Kuku$ and Iggy Biznis, as well as Nika Turković and Pocket Palma.
In the new season, the Center has again been approved for a project running from October 1, 2025, to March 1, 2026. It includes four concerts with a total of eight performers. The selection of artists was once again guided by genre diversity based on our strategic directions, past experience, and findings from research conducted over the previous two years.
We also highlight our collaboration with Club Azimut from Šibenik and the Youth Center Čakovec, aimed at achieving shared goals in program implementation and enabling the connection of concerts into mini-tours.
