The First Open Day at CUK Regenerator
Our very first Open Day, held on September 6, is now behind us. This was a wonderful opportunity to thank all our visitors, collaborators, performers, colleagues, and friends, so thank you for sharing this day with us!
The Open Day allowed locals and visitors alike to get acquainted with the work of our Center, which offers diverse perspectives and opportunities in the field of urban culture. We are especially proud that our institution is fully accessible to people with various types of disabilities, who enjoy free admission to all programs. Additionally, our facilities are pet-friendly and environmentally sustainable.
The Center opened in December 2024, and within a year, we have become one of the most vibrant cultural and artistic hubs in the region. We have hosted numerous concerts, exhibitions, theater performances, and film screenings, striving to establish ourselves as a place of encounter, inspiration, and creation. In this space, the local community, artists, and visitors from all over Croatia and beyond can find a common language through culture and art.
The day’s program began in the morning with a Dog Show, where breeds weren’t judged — only charm and playfulness! The goal was to promote animal adoption and introduce visitors to the work of the Luč Zagorja animal shelter, which also took part in the event. Many attendees learned more about volunteering and donations and got to meet dogs and cats looking for their forever homes. Something worthy of mentioning, one lucky cat found a new home that very day!
For our youngest visitors, we prepared face painting, balloon art, and the Petit Teatar performance “Baby Lasagna – Cats and Pranks.”
The evening hours were filled with music when around two thousand visitors enjoyed an outdoor concert by Baby Lasagna, followed later by a performance from One Dread in the indoor hall.
Once again, heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us, and a special thank you to our founder, the City of Zabok, for their continued support!
